4 CRAZY-LAST-MINUTE VALENTINE’S DAY IDEAS

Valentine’s Day DIYs for peeps who have left things last minute!

AKA Me!

Um, when did Valentine’s Day sneak up!? My husband and I haven’t gone all out for the day of St Valentine in years thanks to our wedding anniversary being just two days later. But still, I usually try to do something small.

This year? I thought it was still January!

So I’ve whipped up 4 DIY’s today that I created just using the supermarket and my printer. Oh and a couple of googly eyes I found in the cupboard. Soz.

The ideas are pretty cute for lovers, friends or kids too!

  1. The ‘I only have EYES for you’ note!

I whipped up the basic designs on Canva (which I used for all my labels for this DIY) printed it out and stuck on some craft eyes (sorry the only thing not from the supermarket!) and kids sunnies. Super easy, fast and you can just glue it to cardboard to make it into a card.

2. The ‘We go together like Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows’ jar and shots!

As simple as layering delicious hot chocolate ingredients into a jar and adding a label! I created the big jar first, then found the small tubes so created mini shots too. You can choose whatever you want to include, but I did chocolate powder, a touch of powdered milk, chocolate chips, marshmallows and sprinkles. I added powdered coffee to the shots to make them mocha flavour. YUM TOWN.

3. The ‘You Are Eggcellent’ message!

Just add a label to a carton of eggs and write some cute messages inside – voila! Then you just promise your love brekkie in bed and whip up an omelette.

4. The ‘You Rock’ note.

I mean, this is simple. Just find any old rock and bonus points if you can give it a lick of paint! Triple points if you can find a quartz or crystal. This would be super cute to gift to kids OR to get kids to make for friends or parents.

See, I wasn’t kidding when I said these were basic. But, love isn’t about $$$! Plus a pun is always fun.

Happy Valentines Day xx
