When the superstars at AltShift PR called to see if I could style the Grill'd X Barbie The Movie launch my reply was, 'just name the date!'

I'm a total Barbie lover, always have and always will be. It was a dream come true to tap into my inner ultra-pink self to come up with some ideas for the styling of the Grill'd Galleries event launch.

The restaurant had already had an INSANELY AMAZING makeover by Bastion Agency, where they transformed every space into a complete Barbie Dreamhouse. It was so cool to see it IRL.

Then I got to head inside and style both the DJ area and super long food table.

FUN, FUN, FUN.

To give the DJ area some fun, I went with old-school booboxes, speakers and CD players, spraying them all hot pink and piling them up with a mix of disco balls and beach inflatables.

Then the long table had a mix of clear acrylic risers filled with either disco balls or little Beach Barbie scenes. I had so much fun with these! I used pink and yellow sand from Officeworks as a base, then tiny Barbie beach accessories - Ken's little slides were the biggest hit of all!

Of course we needed some incredible florals so I called on Isabelle from Oxytocin Floral who TOTALLY got me. I found a Barbie The Movie pink car, and she decked it out with delicious 90s style pink florals, even cascading out the the boot. Gah, I adore.

She also whipped up some coloured blocked floral clouds that truly were divine to look at.

I love when I start styling and extra things come together organically.  Grill'd had some seriously cool merch made for the Barbie The Movie burgers they were creating, like a cardboard carrier that looked like a Barbie handbag (cute!!) and adorable burger boxes. I filled them with disco balls and some tissue paper for a bit of extra fun - and spotted tons of influencers taking photos with them!

All in all, it was a super speedy 18hour trip to Sydney and fun from beginning to end.
